This spring outdoor portrait session with Katie and her family at Red Hills Desert Garden in St. George, Utah felt like such a refreshing way to spend an evening. The desert garden had that perfect early April glow, with soft light filtering through the greenery and bouncing off the red rock, which gave us a warm, flattering backdrop everywhere we turned.
We met up in the late afternoon so the sun would be low enough to keep everyone comfortable and relaxed. The winding paths, bridge, and textured rock walls gave us a mix of scenes that worked beautifully for both playful moments and more classic family portraits. The boys kept the energy light and fun, which fit so well with the casual, candid feel Katie was hoping for.
