Kirkland Fields in Washington, Utah gave us the perfect spring backdrop for Nicole’s outdoor portrait session. The evening light filtered softly through the trees and wrapped this family of four in the warm, golden kind of glow photographers dream about. It felt calm and open, with just enough breeze to keep everyone comfortable while we explored the grassy fields.
Nicole wanted a mix of posed and candid images that felt relaxed and real, and this spot in the St. George metro area fit that vision beautifully. We moved through the session at an easy pace, blending gentle direction with plenty of room for the kids to show their personalities. From twirling dresses and heart-shaped sunglasses to quiet, close moments, the evening held a nice balance of playful energy and tenderness.
What made this session especially meaningful was knowing it marked a new chapter for their family. After several years since their last photos, taking time to be together in front of the camera felt important. Kirkland Fields gave us space for that story to unfold naturally, with wide open green, tall trees, and soft light reflecting the fresh, hopeful feel of a late May evening in Southern Utah.
