Hannah reached out to us while her family was gathered in St. George for a reunion, and Hela Seegmiller Historical Farm turned out to be the perfect backdrop for this summer portrait session. We loved how the farm balanced the green lawns and shady trees, with warm fences and barns that felt true to Southern Utah.
We met in the evening when the light had started to soften, wrapping everything in a gentle glow. The big shade trees gave us a cool spot to start with relaxed, seated portraits and some sweet grandparent moments. From there, we wandered a bit, using the wooden fences and open space to keep things casual and comfortable while still creating images that would work beautifully as wall art and in photo albums.
One of my favorite parts of the session was letting the youngest member of the family move and play. Those in–between swings, snuggles, and giggles brought so much energy to the photos and helped everyone loosen up in front of the camera!
Hela Seegmiller Historical Farm, tucked on the edge of St. George, Utah, is ideal for sessions like this where families want a mix of guided poses and natural, playful moments. It felt like such a fitting place to pause during their reunion and capture this season of life together.
