Common Questions

Family Photography FAQs

Everything you need to know about family photo sessions in St. George.

When is the best time for family photos in St. George?
Golden hour, about an hour before sunset or after sunrise, offers the most flattering light. Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons, while summer sessions are most comfortable early in the morning or later in the evening.
What should my family wear?
Coordinate colors rather than matching exactly. Choose a few complementary tones, mix patterns with solids, and avoid large logos. Earth tones and soft neutrals photograph especially well in Southern Utah. Our what to wear guidewhat to wear guide has more tips.
How do you keep kids engaged during the session?
Our sessions are short and relaxed, and our photographers use natural interactions, light direction, and gentle prompts to help capture the attention (and the natural smile) of your litte ones.
Can we include extended family?
Our standard-length sessions work best for groups of up to about 8 people, and for larger groups we recommend booking two back-to-back sessions to ensure everyone gets some quality time in front of the camera.
What if my toddler has a meltdown?
Totally normal. Our photographers are patient and flexible, and some of the best moments happen when kids are simply being themselves. A few snacks and a favorite small toy from home can also help.
When will we receive our photos?
Your private online gallery will be ready within 5 business days of your session. You'll receive an email with a link to view, select, and purchase the photos you love, and the gallery will remain available for 14 days.
Do you offer holiday card packages?
While we don't create the cards ourselves, our digital downloads are perfect for holiday cards! Many families book sessions in October or early November to have photos ready for holiday card ordering deadlines.
