Our services were built with you in mind. We handle the advertising and client communications, and we provide you with a steady stream of families and indviduals to photograph. Just bring your camera and lenses, and focus on what you enjoy the most! We pay either an incredible $80/hr minimum for your shooting time or a 50/50 split on the products and digital images sold after the shoot, whichever is higher*.
Our hiring process is fairly selective. We're looking for photographers with strong technical and artistic abilities, paired with above-average people skills. Every photographer that we hire undergoes a portfolio check, an equipment check, a video interview, and a personal test shoot before they are brought on. Do you have what it takes? * Each session is roughly 25 minutes in length, for which you will be paid a minimum of $40 per session. If a 50/50 commission split would result in an amount higher than $40, you will receive the commission split insead. For example, if no items are purchased from a session you will receive $40, and if $200 in digital images are purchased you will receive $100 for the session.
An online portfolio, or a set of online galleries, showcasing your work with families, couples, individuals, pets (optional), and children, is required.
A professional full-frame DSLR camera, or a current-gen professional mirrorless camera, is required. A couple of examples include: Canon 5D Mark IV; Canon EOS R5; Nikon D6/D750/D850, Nikon Z 7 II, Pentax K-1 Mark II; Sony Alpha A7/A7R IV. (Film Cameras, APS-C Sensor Cameras, and Mobile Phones are not permitted.)
Our preferred lenses include the following: 70-200mm f~2.8, 24-70mm f~2.8, and/or 35mm f~1.4. Other lenses may be acceptable, depending on your skill and artistic abilities.
Proficiency in camera fundamentals such as aperture, ISO, and shutter speed to achieve sharp images across different portrait subjects and lighting conditions.
Expertise in editing your photos to enhance color, lighting, and cropping according to current photography trends and aesthetics.
Knowledge of posing techniques for clients of all ages and genders, including men, women, children, families, couples, groups, and, optionally, pets.
Adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, while ensuring quality under pressure.
Skill in capturing lifestyle, documentary and candid portraits using, exclusively, natural light.
You must be friendly, patient, supportive, and capable of giving clear, consistent direction to clients of all ages, genders, ethnicities, personalities, and body types.
You must be able to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for clients during their photography sessions.
You must be able to adapt to situations beyond your control, such as crying children, unexpected weather events, etc.
You must enjoy connecting with people and have an interest in capturing their distinct personalities.
You must be capable of working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
You must be reachable and responsive to staff and client communications.
You must be punctual and dependable, and display professionalism at all times.
You must deliver high-quality results in a timely and consitent manner.
You must have a reliable means of transportation.
You must have access to a high-speed internet connection.
You must be at least 18 years of age.
