This summer session with Hannah at The Garden at Tonaquint in St. George, Utah felt like such a peaceful little escape. The gardens were lush and green, and the trees filtered the sunlight into soft, warm pockets of shade that worked beautifully for an outdoor portrait session.
We planned our time for later in the day so the light would be gentle and flattering. It wrapped around the paths and flower beds in a way that created a lovely mix of glowing backlight and rich, even tones. The Garden at Tonaquint is one of our favorite spots for that reason. There were so many corners where we could tuck in for portraits that felt private, natural, and relaxed.
I loved how the greenery and warm earth tones complemented Hannah’s floral dress and lace details. The setting added just enough color and texture without ever distracting from her. We moved slowly through the garden, taking advantage of open shade and small sunlit clearings, which kept the session comfortable even in the July heat.
